'La Bella Dormente Nel Bosco' Opera

March, 2024

La Bella Dormente nel Bosco, also known as The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods, is an Italian fairy tale. It tells the story of a princess who is cursed by a wicked fairy to sleep for a hundred years after pricking her finger on a spindle. Despite efforts to avoid the curse, it takes effect, and the princess falls into a deep sleep. A dense forest grows around her castle, hiding it from the world. After a century, a prince discovers the hidden castle, wakes the princess with a kiss, and they live happily ever after.
